Britain to host 2017 Motocross of Nations!

The Nations is coming home as the 2017 Motocross of Nations will be held in Great Britain at Matterley Basin near Winchester. Less than 24 hours after the 2017 event at Glen Helen was axed, Youthstream announced it is looking to host the event somewhere in the USA in 2019. But until then, it’s Britain next year – the first time it’s been here since 2006 when Stefan Everts shamed the world with a stunning swansong win where he beat James Stewart and everyone else too!

The date for the Nations in the USA was October 1, three weeks after the final GP of the year. That would allow teams to get to the USA to prepare for the Glen Helen race. There’s no news on the date for the Matterley Basin event, but it’s likely to stay the same. The track was due to hold the British GP on June 4 but there is no news yet as to what will happen for that event.
