Coronavirus update: Chinese GP… and Roczen!

While the world goes Cornonavirus mad, Ken Roczen has made an announcement about his take on it, and Chinese organisers have confirmed the Shanghai GP in ON!

Roczen has made an announcement saying he won’t do any personal appearances or autograph signings because his immune system is not 100% following his surgeries in recent years.

And while China is the epicentre of the virus, GP organisers have confirmed the MXGP of China will once again return to Shanghai for the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship, on the 12th – 13th of September, to host the penultimate round of the 2020 MXGP season.

The outbreak of the virus is in Wuhan, which is 500 miles West of Shanghai. Infront Moto Racing, the new name for Youthstream, and local organiser are working closely together in order to make the 2020 MXGP of China possible.

There are three GPs scheduled in Italy this year, all in the affected region where lots of sporting events have been shut down. There is Trentino on April 5, Maggiora on May 17 and Imola on September 20. There’s no news on whether these event will be run.
