Edmonds heads Briggs team in VMXdN Foxhill

Irishman Stuart Edmonds will head a new S.Briggs Commercials team in the new-for-2023 Wright Engineering team race which is rapidly becoming as big an attraction as the International VMXdN race itself.

Spearheading the team is Edmonds; a regular Nations competitor for his country, representing them ten times in total. He will be racing with number 2 on either a Honda CR500 or CR250 depending on testing times.

Stuart has an impressive resume having been British 2 stroke champion in 2011 and 2021, Irish national champion in both 2009 and 2014, 2019 Moato Circus champion, 2019 Dublin City SX champion, third in the 2021 MX Nationals pro MX1 class and in the same year he finished 8th in the British MX1 championship, plus 6th in the World 2 stroke championship…. that’s some career and one to bring the heat in no uncertain terms.

Matt Bayliss will be running the number 1 plate and though that is a heavy plate indeed he has wide shoulders – racing an ’89 CR500. Matt’s achievements include winning the Weston beach race on the 85, winning the 2022 AMCA 125 championship, 2020 mini bike British championship, 2014 Prince of Stuttgart SX and a couple of runner up spots in the British MXY2 championship.

Jim Davies is the third man on the team and will run the number 3 mounted on his CR250. He was a factory TM rider for 9 years as well as the RedBull British 2 stroke champion in 2009, he was the ACU British 125 GT cup champion in 2013, 2014 and 2015 so is no stranger to racing a two stroke.

Gates open at 12 noon on Thursday 24th August. Weekend, Saturday and Sunday tickets along with camping passes are available at https://vmxdnfoxhill2023.eventbrite.co.uk
