Age limit increased for the ACU 65s from 2024

Following the recent ACU Motocross Committee meeting held at ACU House in Rugby a discussion was held regarding the age limits of the 65cc class for the 2024 season and beyond. The result of the meeting will see the upper age limit of the 65cc class increased to 11 years on the 1st January for all ACU permitted Motocross events.

This rule change brings the ACU in line with the FIM and FIM Europe and will see a more natural
progression through the class from the 65cc class.

From 1st January 2024 the new age limit will in the ACU Handbook will read:
Youth sport – 65cc Junior class. Age on 1 Jan 7 – 11 years.

Minimum 60cc 2 stroke or 85cc 4 stroke. Maximum 65cc 2 stroke or 110cc 4 stroke. 12 inch rear, 14 inch front.

The ages limits for the Small Wheel and Big Wheel 85cc class will remain the same, as will the 125cc class where riders can enter at 13 years old and the Youth Open class at the age of 14 years old.
