Fans welcome for Helter Skelter hillclimb

With the excitement building for the inaugural Helter Skelter Hillclimb on Saturday 12th June the Steel Hawk Motorcycle Club are pleased to announce the final details and information on the event.

There will be seven classes battling it out in the unique event that sees five riders launch off mesh grids and down the BMX style drop in start and race up the hill before zig-zagging their way back down with the winner first across the finish line jump. Every rider will get four race runs and a final in what is set to be an action packed fun day out, especially as the event is a brand new concept.

“We’ve had a few trial runs now and it’s so much fun” says Steel Hawk MCC’s Jeff Perrett. “Just tearing up the hill and trying to keep the front end down put a big smile on my face, let alone hustling with each other to make the corners on the way down. I think everyone is going to have a lot of fun, which was the main objective when we came up with the concept. Obviously none of us have any idea on how it’s going to go but it’s going to be fun seeing it unfold. Hopefully it will go as well as we hope and everyone will stay safe and have a great day riding and watching motorcycle races with a smile on their face.”

Practice starts at 10.30 with the first heat dropping in off the start line at 12 midday. Racing is scheduled to finish at approximately 6pm. Spectators are welcome at the event with the admission fee £5 for Adults with under 16’s admitted free. As this is the first time at the venue and due to the current circumstances camping is not allowed for this event. Food and refreshments will be available.
