Kellett signs for Verde KTM

Injured Weston winner Todd Kellett will race for the Verde KTM team in the British MX2 and European EMX250 championships in 2018 with some support direct from KTM.

Kellett, who last year filled in on the Hitachi KTM team and took victory in a British MX2 round, was in talks with Verde during 2017 as he wanted to join up with the team’s No1 rider, European two-stroke champ Brad Anderson. Kellett is a fan of Ando’s and wants to learn from him.

South-Westerner Todd won’t be on the KTM any time soon, though. He will be out of action for three months after crashing recently and breaking several vertebrae. He will miss the Hawkstone International and probably the first round of the Maxxis British championship and European opener. The team says there will be no pressure on him to return until he’s 100% fit.
