Shaun Simpson was side-by-side with Max Anstie for the opening MX1 race at the Hawkstone International into the first turn, but lost control and was thrown down hard – then pummelled to the ground by the chasing pack including Jake Nicholls who was right behind him and couldn’t miss the carnage.
