RIP: Alpinestars founder Sante Mazzarolo

Alpinestars founder Sante Mazzarolo has passed away at his home in Italy after a long illness. The 91-year-old founded Alpinestars in 1963 and was the creator of the modern motocross boot that many of the top riders wear today.

Mr Mazzarolo was an innovator, able to combine cutting edge technology with design, making Alpinestars a worldwide leader of professional racing products, high-performance apparel and technical footwear.

Alpinestars has been a part of the FIM Motocross World Championship for many years, with many of the top athletes a part of the Alpinestars family, including the likes of, 5-Time World Champion, Roger de Coster, 4-Time World Champion, Jeffrey Herlings, MXGP World Champion, Romain Febvre among many others.

We would like to express condolences to Sante Mazzarolo’s family and friends at this difficult time.
