Former 500cc world championship rider Dirk Geukens from Belgium died suddenly yesterday. He was 57. Dirk competed in the FIM 250cc Motocross World Championship between 1984-1986, and in the 500cc world championship from 1987-1996. Geukens finished 3rdoverall in the 500cc world championship in 1990 – 1991, won 2 GP’s and finished on the podium
