Taylor Hammal completes the 2019 RHR Yamaha team!

The Rob Hooper Yamaha Pro Motocross team are delighted to complete their 2019 team with the signing of Hampshire based racer Taylor Hammal.

18 year old Hammal has a huge amount of experience for a young rider, having won National Motocross and Arenacross titles on an 85, as well as gaining top 10 finishes in both the World and European championships on the 85 machine, while he finished 2nd in the MXY2 class of the MX Nationals in 2016.

Last year his rise to the Adult ranks saw him finish a fantastic 4th in the MX2 class of the MX Nationals, while also recording a top 10 finish in a round of the European 125cc Championship.

For 2019, Taylor will concentrate on the UK scene with an assault on the Maxxis British Motocross Championships, Michelin MX Nationals and the Bridgestone British Masters, all in the MX2 class aboard the RHR Yamaha YZF 250.

Team Boss Rob Hooper was pleased to find another rider to join Ryan Houghton in the 2019 squad saying “It’s great to bring our team up to two riders. Taylor is a talented young rider, with a big future ahead of him, and I feel by joining our team he will have the support he needs to deliver some good results and grow as a rider.  The dedication from him and his family to succeed is there to see, and Taylor thoroughly deserves his place on a Pro team.”

Taylor was understandably delighted to be on board with the team saying “I am really happy to be a part of RHR for next year. Rob and his team have a really professional set up, and I can’t wait to start testing out the new 19 Yamaha. I’m looking forward to a successful year ahead.”

The team are well underway with testing for 2019, with Ryan Houghton recently working with Mark Rothwell of RSS, as he looks to build on what was a fantastic 2018 for the rider.
