Tragedy as Steven Lenoir dies after crash

Former British champion Steven Lenoir has been killed after a crash in qualifying for a race in France today, Monday. The Frenchman, currently second in the British MX1 championship, is reported to have had a huge crash in practice at Cassel and was airlifted to hospital in Lille. But it has now been confirmed he passed away.

The race is to be abandoned. More details are not yet known but we will bring updates when we get them.

Lenoir, the popular and friendly 25-year-old, has raced in the British championship for many years, winning the MX2 title in 2015. He has ridden for the Dyer and Butler team for many seasons. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans at this very sad time.
