BBC TV reveals how Culham track faces closure

The famous motocross track at Culham could be lost forever as it’s right next to a huge new town of 3500 houses that are scheduled to be built on the site.  The small Oxfordshire village’s battle against being ‘supersized’ is to be the centre of a television documentary series, the first part of which aired this week.

BBC2 aired “The New Builds are Coming : Battle in the Countryside” which focused on the plans in Culham.

Plans for the new homes were set out in the council’s latest plan, which earmarks the development for the green belt between Abingdon Road and the River Thames – right next the famous circuit which can be clearly seen on the BBC’s plans.
