Cairoli dominates Trentino qualifier

Home hero Tony Cairoli took a start-to-finish win the the MXGP qualifying at Trentino, his first qualifying race win of the year. French Husky ace Gautier Paulin fought off the challenge from world champ Tim Gajser to take second place.

Romain Febvre took fourth ahead of Max Nagl who sneaked by Clement Desalle.

Jeffrey Herlings had a horrendous start and worked his way up to 11th. Shaun Simpson was 18th and Jake Nicholls 23rd.

In the MX2 class, Dane Thomas Kjer Olsen took his first ever MX2 qualification race win on his Rockstar Husqvarna from Jeremy Seewer who overtook Jorge Prado on the last lap.

Ben Watson took 17th, one slot in front of Conrad Mewse. Adam Sterry didn’t finish.
