Godspeed Nuno Laranjeira

Well-known motocross photographer Nuno Laranjeira has lost his battle with an aggressive form of cancer. He was just 52 years old.

Nuno shot motocross, enduro and all forms of bikesport for many magazines, racing teams, sponsors and the FIM for around 20 years. He was Portuguese but moved to the UK to further his career in photography. He moved back to Portugal during the pandemic to look after his parents whose health was failing.

Nuno was well-liked in the paddock and respected by all who worked with him. He had a very artistic eye that saw him produce many incredible shots. He was named Photographer of the Year by Youthstream, the organisers who ran MXGPs.

He will be sadly missed and our thoughts go out to his family and many friends around the world.

Check out a couple of Nuno’s photos from back in 2020 when he was shooting for Dave Thorpe’s Buildbase Honda team.
