Nicoll claims World Vet title No3

Former British champion Kurt Nicoll took his KTM to a fine third World Vet championship crown on the super-rough Glen Helen track on Sunday. After finishing second to Daryl Hurley on Saturday’s Over-40 Pro class, he took victory in Sunday’s over-50 Pro event, beating Don Bisceglia and Ed Foedish at an event that has more than 1000 riders.

In the over-30 pro class, current factory Kawasaki rider Josh Grant took both moto wins, from Jeff Loop and Tonni Anderson. Pete De Graaf won the over 60s, Carl Garafy the over 65s and Gary Chase the over 70s.

Former women’s world cha mp Steffi Laier took victory in the women’s race, and Bogo Gajser – dad of ex world champ Tim – won the over 50s Intermediate class.
