FatCat finale for Apico 2-Stroke Festival

The finale of the Apico 2-Stroke Festival is to be held at the all-weather FatCat Motoparc near Doncaster on October 6-7.

Entries for registered riders have now opened HERE and non-registered riders will be able to sign up on Friday.

It’s the final round of the series that kicked off at Ironworks near Middlesborough then went to Sellindge in Kent. Check out the highlights from Sellindge in the video above.

Top riders have included Brad Anderson, Josh Spinks, Jonny Walker,Matt Burrows, Nev Bradshaw, Jame Law, Matt Moffat and a host of other pros.

But there are classes for all including youths on 85s who are racing for the chance to be awarded a sponsorship package worth £5000 from sponsors Apico.

Organiser Dave Willet said: “The circuit is very popular with the riders and the venue is an ideal place to end the series on a high. We’ll be using the race track which is the least sandiest of the two tracks – more Evo friendly. Martin Craven has agreed to make some adjustments to the track to keep things fresh. An onsite meeting will take place ASAP. at Fatcats to discuss event plans. Martin has been super keen for the festival from day one and it’s been very easy in planning the event. We are sure it will be awesome.

“The race schedule will stay the say but the final race day on Sunday may take a little longer due the trophies and registered rider prizes to be handed out!”
The event is the same weekend as the Motocross of Nations at Red Bud and due to the time difference to the USA, it’s possible to show the racing live on Sunday evening.
“If the interest is there for riders to stay and watch the racing from the USA, we’ll look into costings for a big television, hog roast and an extra night’s camping.”
