Successful surgery for Searle

Tommy  Searle has had successful surgery on the collarbone he broke in the first corner of the Dutch GP on Sunday. He says he’ll be out for around four weeks, so will miss the opening British championship and the Spanish GP, at least.

He said: “I got caught up in a crash yesterday off the start after a rider went down in front of me and i couldn’t avoid his bike. I had surgery last night to fix my collar bone thats the only injury I had so I’m now on the mend.. It will be about 4 weeks I would think. Not ideal but had far worse. Will keep working hard as I was feeling good.”
